Cupcake FAQs

Q: How soon should I place my order?

A: All orders are based on my availability and require at least 3 days notice. If a rush order is needed, email

deb@edible-art-tahoe.com, and I'll do my best to make it happen!

Q: Do you offer delivery?
A: Yes! I provide local delivery within a 20-mile radius, available Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m. until noon. The fee is $25. For deliveries beyond this radius, give me a call, and I'll do my best to help!

Q: What’s the best way to store my cupcake bouquet?
A: To keep your bouquet fresh and beautiful, store it at a cool room temperature, out of direct sunlight. If it’s especially hot, consider refrigerating it. I recommend enjoying your cupcakes within two days of pickup or delivery, but they will be fine if you need to refrigerate them. Let the cupcakes come back to room temperature before serving. For longer storage, wrap the bouquet box in plastic wrap and freeze for up to a month.

Q: Can I order custom cupcakes?
A: Yes! Email me your color and design preferences.

Q: I have a nut allergy. Are the cupcakes safe?
A: Unfortunately, I can’t guarantee our cupcakes are nut-free. While I don't use nuts in the cupcakes, they are made in a kitchen that handles nuts, so there’s always a risk of cross-contact. I recommend those with severe allergies avoid my products.

Q: Do you offer gluten-free cupcake bouquets?
A: Yes! I have an option made with gluten-free flour. However, please note that cross-contamination is possible due to shared equipment, so if you’re very sensitive, keep that in mind.

Q: What’s the best way to serve my cupcake bouquet?
A: Place your bouquet flat on a table, and guests can pick cupcakes directly from the arrangement by the green tissue around each one. The bouquet structure doesn’t need disassembling. The packaging is flammable, so use caution with candles. I can match flower designs to specific flavors on request.

Q: Are all ingredients organic?
A: Not entirely. My cupcakes contain no artificial preservatives and are made from scratch from quality ingredients. I use organic flour and organic eggs, European butter, vanilla from Madagascar beans, pure cane sugar and Dutch processed cocoa. My signature frosting is vanilla buttercream, which is the base for the florals.

Q: How can I safely transport my bouquet?
A: I carefully package each bouquet for transport: small bouquets in a 10x10x8 box, medium in 12x12x8, large in 14x14x8. To prevent the cupcakes from shifting, place the box on a flat surface in your car, either in the trunk or the passenger footwell. Avoid direct sunlight and turn on the A/C in warmer weather.

Q: Can I order cupcakes boxed instead of arranged as a bouquet?
A: Absolutely! If you prefer boxed cupcakes, I offer floral or succulent designs by the dozen, perfect for arranging on your own stand or platter.

Q: Can I choose a different buttercream flavor?
A: I use American buttercream with pure vanilla extract, which contains alcohol, but I'm happy to discuss alternatives if you have specific dietary or religious preferences.

Q: What cupcake flavors do you offer?
A: Bouquets come in vanilla, chocolate and spice.

Q: Do you use natural food coloring?
A: No, I use artificial food coloring (mainly ChefMaster) to achieve vibrant colors, using only as much as necessary.

Q: Can I request specific flower designs?
A: Yes! I'm always excited to try new designs! Just let me know what you’re envisioning, and I’ll do my best to bring it to life.

Q: Do you offer a vegan cupcake bouquet?
A: Yes! Vegan cupcakes are made with Miyoko's plant-based butter, cultured cashew milk and flax eggs. Chocolate cupcakes include plant-based chocolate chips.

Q: Do you make mini cupcakes?
A: Yes! Mini cupcakes with a simple flower design cost $2.50 each; minimum order is one dozen. For details, please email me at deb@edible-art-tahoe.com.
